2. Can foreigners open a bank account in Cambodia?
Yes. Cambodia has one of the most open banking systems in Asia. Non-residents can open accounts with a long-term visa and work permit. Cambodia Cards streamlines this process and, for clients entering on a tourist visa or short-term business visa, we can arrange account opening directly with reputable banks through our service.

To open an account, clients need to provide:

9. Do you assist with visas or residency?
Yes. We can arrange long-term business visas, work permits, and other residency solutions as part of our full KYC service package.
10. Is Cambodia part of FATF or CRS?
No. Cambodia is not a member of FATF (Financial Action Task Force) and is also not a member of CRS (Common Reporting Standard, the automatic system of tax information exchange between countries). This means: - Cambodian banks do not share information automatically with foreign tax authorities. - Cambodia offers a higher level of financial privacy compared to jurisdictions that participate in CRS.
11. How do I get started?

12. How long does it take to receive the physical debit card?
- If you stay in Cambodia: you normally receive the physical debit card on the same day your account is opened.
- If you leave Cambodia after completing KYC: we will send the card to you by international mail within one week.

13. Do Cambodian banks offer multi-currency accounts?
Currently, Cambodian banks allow accounts in USD and KHR (Cambodian Riel). Separately, through our extended network, we can also assist clients with banks that offer multi-currency accounts, including RMB (Chinese Yuan) and EUR (Euro).
